Home Alone Gingerbread House to mark film's 30th Anniversary for Disney+

  Michelle recreated the McCallister family house from Home Alone in gingerbread to celebrate the film's 30th anniversary this year. The gingerbread house was commissioned by Disney + to mark 30 years since the release of the classic Christmas film. Michelle is constructing Home Alone gingerbread house It took Michelle around 300 hours to make in her studio in West Sussex and complete with tiny details from the movies. The creation includes 63 trees, 33 windows, 14 pizza boxes and six lampposts. The stairs was made out of gingerbread covered with snow icing. Meticulous detail of  the door handle was recreated using icing sugar Kevin  McCallister fell from the sledge and stuck in the snow.   A life-sized cake of Mr Darcy Character from BBC’s Pride and Prejudice played by Colin Firth, has been unveiled to celebrate the launch of Jane Austen Season on UKTV Drama Channel. This 6ft tall creation was on display at National Trust property Lyme Park in Cheshire which was used as Mr Darcy's home Pemberley in the mini-series and where the famous lake scene was filmed. It's made out of vanilla sponge cake with vanilla buttercream filling and chocolate ganache. Michelle uses 25kg of flour, 25kg of butter and 45 kg of sugar and took more than 200 hours to make.  Have your cake (and eat it too) Mr. Darcy ?
