25th Anniversary Bloomsbury Publishing Family Law Book

Multi-award-winning Bloomsbury Professional, the UK’s largest independent legal publisher, is commemorating the 25th anniversary of the definitive text Hershman and McFarlane: Children Law and Practice. At the same time, it is launching its family law online service Bloomsbury Family Law.




Celebrating this special day, Michelle Wibowo of Michelle Sugar Art designed an incredible cake shaped from the complete set of the book itself complete with pop-up made out of edible sugar paper containing text printed from the actual book.

Can I thank you and the whole team [please pass this on to any others whose email addresses I have not got] for the excellent party that you put on for our 25th Anniversary and the launch of Bloomsbury Family Law last night.
  
The cake was astonishing and wholly marvellous. What a kind and zany idea for you all to come up with. As I said to many people, the cake was just one example of how Bloomsbury seem to go the extra mile in supporting their authors and works. Well Done!

Prince William & Kate Middleton Royal Wedding Cake

I use this ideal home show cake competition as a great opportunitiy to do something different, other than the usual decorated round tiered cake people normally expect for a classic tiered wedding cake. It was really a challenge for me to do this cake. It's a hard work, but I really enjoyed making it. Prince William and Kate Middleton cake is made of traditional english fruit cake, carved into 3D busts with an armature inside, covered with apricot jam. The icing was sculpted with details and then airbrushed with colours to make it look more realistic. It took about 80 hours to make and I uses more than 10kgs marzipan and 10kg Icing sugar. You can see this cake at the " Ideal Food-Ideal Cake Decorato r" section at the Ideal Home Show March 11th -  27th   2011 Earls Court London. I hope I see you there!
