This project is a collaboration between Wizarding World and Uber Eats  and a bunch of talented team at Robotproof .  Content of the holiday trunk (Image courtesy of: Warner Bros. Emmerdale’s 50th anniversary cake

Image
Emmerdale, one of the long-running British soap operas, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this October with a dramatic teaser trailer incorporating the latest in 3D printing technology, motion-control camera shots and a real cake by Michelle of Michelle Sugar Art. The brief from the art director was to create an edible miniature set of the drama series including the famous Woolpack pub, the woods and many iconic scenes. This giant set was sculpted out of slabs of vanilla sponge cake covered with fondant and then applied colour. To really capture the scene Michelle's got pretty creative by using chocolate flakes for the trees, rice crispies cereals to create texture, and shredded wheat to replicate a stack of hay bales. Wicked Themed Birthday Cake for Christine's 40th

Image
Wicked Themed Birthday Cake It's not every day you turn 40, so for Christine's milestone birthday, her friend Michelle knew she had to go above and beyond with a cake that truly captured her personality. And where better to find inspiration than the fantastical world of "Wicked"? Michelle embarked on a journey to Oz, drawing on the iconic imagery of the musical's main stage to craft a showstopping cake that was equal parts whimsical and theatrical. Imagine a Victorian sponge cake meticulously sculpted into the shape of the grand clock tower, its face illuminated by color-changing LED lights, adding an element of magic and mystery. But the clock wasn't alone. Perched atop its peak was a fierce, yet charming, sugar dragon figurine, its scales meticulously crafted and adorned with edible mechanical cogs made from sugar paste. These intricate details hinted at the intricate gears of fate that turn in Oz, mirroring the journey of self-discovery Christine was abou...

Bayeux Tapestry made from butter and jam

Normandy Food Tour is coming to Hastings, Windsor, Colchester, Norwich and Canterbury from 28th April to  1st May 2022. These are key towns in southern England that hold particular resonance for Normandy, they all have a Norman cathedral or castle and are within easy reach of transport links to Normandy.  The aim of the tour is to remind people of our shared history with Normandy, showcase Normandy’s amazing food and drink with the local public, and remind people how easy it is to get to the lovely region of Normandy.  The PR team asked Michelle to create a show-stopping Instagrammable moment for this tour.
